 Latest Website Updates

Older residents will be fascinated to know Mr Chedzoy's van still exists as a 'preservation' vehicle; you can see photos of it on the Old Photos/Employment page. Two very interesting, and possibly unique, photos relating to the local flax industry have been added to the Old Photos/Farm and Field page. A photo of the Hooper family taken 100 years ago has been added to the Old Photos/People of Yesterday page. Brain Tasker invites you to take a walk with him along the Boozer Pit and Higher Street of his childhood in the late 1930s; see Come! Walk With Me which you can access from the Anecdotes and Articles page. There's a new family enquiry on the Visitor Comments page.
